It was a gloomy night and the journey
through the fog was not a pleasant one. Still…..we were in for much worse on the
table itself. With only 7 players available, including new boy Andy, the
singles were done in a flash with only Ian chalking up a win for the Tulip ‘C’.
Even £2.5K of laser eye surgery couldn’t help Trevor as he failed to complete a
regulation clearance. Money well spent? We will see. Other losses were chalked
up by Gordon, Andy, Mike, Craig and Tam. The doubles was better with Trevor
& Tam and Gordon & Ian winning. Mike & Craig unfortunately lost the
second doubles match. So all in all a pretty poor night.
Positives:-
Andy has been blooded,
Food bloody good as always,
Banter excellent, including some p*ss taking mimicking such as Ian’s table slap after winning
being copied by his opponent with an effeminate twist LOL.
Well played to the Bell, I think last week’s
game may have stirred them up a bit ;-).
We all look forward to the next meeting
and we will see who is copying who.
Trevor, Ian, Craig and Tam will be
playing in the Chelmsford 3 man and the Golden Cue Qualifier at the Pool club
on Wednesday. Any support would be welcome.
FINAL SCORE
BELL 8-4 TULIP ‘C’
