Q BALL ‘B’
After recent performances we were hoping to get
things back on track with what on paper would appear to be an easy fixture at
home to bottom of the table, Q Ball ‘B’. Although it would be fair to say that
perhaps their players are better than their teams position would suggest.
Well the first three frames all went exactly the
same way. First off was Gordon, then Andy followed by Rob (en route home). In
all three frames it was the Tulip player who seemed to be in control but could
not nail the frame. Each time the opposition player fought back to take the
frame and thus we had a three frame deficit when we could have just as easily
been three up.
Then came the fight back. The next four frames were
won by Trevor, Craig, MJ and then Ian respectively. A special mention goes to
MJ for making his first 8 ball clearance of the season. Unfortunately, George
despite several opportunities, was unable to secure his frame and we went into
the doubles at 4 – 4.
Then the wheels well and truly came off the wagon
as first Ian & Mj, then Andy & Craig and
finally Trevor & Gordon all lost their doubles giving us a 7 – 4 defeat for
the second week in a row.
