MONDAY 3rd NOVEMBER 2008
PREMIERE A
HOME
RED LION
Having just recorded two back to back 8 3 wins we
hoped to push on with a decent win against a Red Lion team languishing at the
bottom of the table.
Things started well with both Gordon and then Andy
winning to give us a 2 0 lead.
Unfortunately MJ was unable to complete a clearance
and had to watch his opponent pot six balls and the black for the frame. 2 1
Ian did not have to do much for his win as the Red
Lion player managed to accidentally pot the black before the frame had even
taken shape. Good to see the cats still got his luck ;-). 3 1
Mike suffered a similar fate to MJ with the
exception of the amount of balls he potted, one. The Red Lion player went on to
make a very good clearance. 3 2
Rob despite a dry break managed to secure the frame
at the next visit with an eight ball clearance. 4 2
Craig did suffer a similar fate to MJ. Craig got to
the black but snookered himself. Failing to make good the escape he could do
nothing but watch his opponent make an eight ball clearance. 4 3
Trevor played a solid frame and secured the final singles
for a 5 3 lead going into the doubles.
Despite Trevor and Andy winning the middle doubles,
the pairings of Craig & MJ and Gordon and Rob were unable to secure their
frames and the chance of a big win went. 6 5
On reflection, if the Red Lion play as well as they
did last night on a regular basis, it is difficult to understand why they are
at the bottom of the table.
And finally putting a more positive spin on
proceedings, thats now 3 wins in a row with a combined score of 22 11.
Lets keep it going
